Obviously you can do what you like with the fandoms and characters I pick, but if you want some additional inspiration/want to know what i Iike this post is for you! I just included the bare bones of what I really like because I really don't want to pressure you, but if you want to ask something specific, anon comments are allowed so feel free to ask!

Title: I don't know how this goes (or maybe I've just forgotten)
Rating: PG-13 for language
Fandom: Supernatural
Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Bobby Singer, Jessica Moore
Summary: It's been 4 months since Sam picked up the phone for the first time to tell Bobby about a hunt near him. It's been a month since Jess and Sam started dating. It's been a year since Dean last talked to Sam. It's been 2 days since the last body was found.

(Or the one where Jess defines awesomeness (just ask Sam), Dean and Sam fail to communicate without Bobby running interference, but it still works out in the end.)

Author's Notes:
This was written for spn_summergen 2013 over at livejournal. I was asked for something Stanford Era, with maybe Dean hunting something near there to keep Sam safe, so I just mixed and matched a bit.

I have no clue about the geography of Palo Alto, or indeed the United States, aside from what google maps told me, so please excuse any inaccuracies. Also, I apologize for the woeful lack of action, I'm just no good at it *hangs head*

As my friend pointed out this is now the second time I've written a fic with dryads in them. I'M SORRY! Just, I already did all the research for it for my TW fic so this was just so easy^^

This reaction will in no way be ordered. I will just be random flailing. And confusion. And spoilers. And also tears

Because I actually really liked the last two weeks episodes? I mean they had their dumb moments - it's glee - but compared with thinks like "glease" it was top-notch

Perky and delicious bottoms after the cut )

I'm really looking forward to next episode (and Blaine in a red feather vest, mhmmm) and it has truly been awhile since I could say that, so kudos to you glee writers!,

Title: Trees are always a relief after dealing with people (except when they aren’t) (Also on AO3)

Pairings: Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski

Characters: Scott, Sheriff, Allison, mentions of Lydia and Danny

Rating:R (for wing!kink and oral)
Word Count: ~ 16.000

Additional stuff: fluffiness, not enough sex to actually deserve the rating, for some reason foodstuff is being used to adorable effect again, idek

Derek Hale decides to become a hermit before he reaches 25. Too bad he picked Beacon Hills as his retirement home.
(Or the one where Stiles is a wood nymph/pixie/human hybrid who falls in love with his new grumpy werewolf neighbour)

Authors Notes: This is a fic I wrote for lenfantsavage for the tw_holidays exchange over at livejournal. She told me she would be delighted to read creature!stiles with bonus sex.

And when I couldn't think of anything, julie (halffizzbin) pitched me the idea of nymph!stiles and then it grew...and grew and finally mutated into this fic, which is by far the longest fic I have ever written of anything.

Thanks to lenfantsavage for the awesome prompt and of course mega-special-ultra thanks go to Julie, who not only came up with the idea, but who was an amazing cheerleader as this thing just would not stop growing and provided me with an extremely high speed beta so I would make my deadline. I love you, you are the best!

It's ridiculous and pointless, but I enjoyed writing it very much and it rapidly became my baby to be honest, so I hope you will enjoy it too^^

Stiles is furious )

An Update of sorts

Well, everybody, Christmas is over and the New Year has begun….

but though I have now no Family obligations, I will have nearly no time in January because of University stuff (seeing as I made the brilliant choice of having nearly all my presentations this months and a pretty important deadline coming up)

So, I will be taking a hiatus, of sorts. I’m not saying I wont be around at all, but I will severely limit my time, so I can actually get the stuff done, I need to do.

As compensation, the reveals on tw_holidays are up, so I can officially claim the story I wrote - which turned out to be pretty long - and that one will be posted in the next several days on AO3 after I’ve cleaned it up a bit more.

ravelqueen: (Default)
Because I actually forgot, I didn't post that here...

I wrote something for the tw_harvest exchange back in November! It's a bit less whimsical than what I'm used to, but i really liked the idea and that it's done without any dialogue at all.

Title: I've got it on my mind to change my ways (link to AO3)
Rating: M for mentions of various sexual acts
Pairing: Derek/Stiles
Characters: mentions of pretty much the whole cast
Aside from himself Derek may be the most broken person Stiles has ever met.

(Or the one where Stiles and Derek don't have the most normal of relationships, but it still works out in the end)

Stiles can't remember if he changed when his mother died... ).

This journal will probably not contain a lot, because I am frankly crap at all kinds of updating.

What it will be is mainly a fandom journal in which I may randomly spout my opinion about all the stuff I am reading/watching, mainly to amuse myself ;)

If you are interested in my writing and don't want to wade through my frankly terrifying tag system, you can check out my AO3 profile. Otherwise most (if not always all) of my stuff can be found under the tag my fanfiction.

In my new found resolution to use this more, I will try to recommend one piece of fanfiction at least once a week, which will then be found under the Fanfic Rec tag.

Anybody who wants to can friend/subscribe to this journal, but don't expect any kind of posting schedule or coherency.

As I probably wont be around a lot in the next few days, because CHRISTMAS:

Have a few wonderful days with your family and your loved ones <3

Ok, here is something I have never done before, but seeing as a few manga people are following me now, I might as well try it. It might get me back into reading other series I have stopped (Pandora Hearts is next, but Ao no Exorcist is still looking good as well...)

It was a fruitful week indeed, as 3 of the monthly series I'm following updated:

D.Gray-man, or KANDA WHAT )

Noblesse )

Kuroshitsuji or CRICKET!! )
Cautious fanfic rec of the day: So let it be said, so let it be done, Yu-Gi-Oh, Puzzleshipping, It's not every day a person gets a second chance at life. Sometimes the doors we walk through lead us to places we'd never thought we'd go... or right back to where we started.
Cautious, because I haven't actually read it all, but it's a yu-gi-oh fanfic that I haven't read before and the writing is good enough to not scare me off 4 chapters in, so I'm counting it as a win

In the spirit of using this thing again have a pointless very short update post about me.

I'm going to see the Hobbit tomorrow so expect a squee/review post about that in the near future.

I really need to catch up on Elementary and on a lot of manga I've been neglecting recently. Which one do I need to catch up with more Pandora Hearts or One Piece?

When I find the time I'll try to dive into the horrible pits that is fanfiction.net. because I've been craving good Yu-Gi-Oh fic for a while, but I always gave up after 30 minutes of sifting through horrible summaries and just re-read
Vathara's ForeignXchange series for the 10th time. Why is that fandom so big, but simultanously compromised of about 90% really shitty Mary Sue/Cliche stories? I mean the Teen Wolf Fandom mananges to create about 60% good fic material, why doesn't that work for Anime?

I'm also thinking about signing up for the
Teenwolf crossover bang...I'm thinking about doing an Anime fusion type thing (maybe with Soul Eater), because I need more Anime/Western Fandom fusions, damnit.

For my new followers: HIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! HAPPY TO HAVE YOU HERE! I updated my about me and links and stuff, so if you are interested in my writing/tumblr etc. you should find handy links for that in my sidebar^^

Fandom: Hikaru no Go
Title: Bad impressions are for free
Rating: PG
Length: ~4000
Summary: 5 times Hikaru wasn't what someone expected (and one time he was)

A.N. This was written for the [livejournal.com profile] blind_go challenge over at livejournal in May and then promptly forgotten ;). The theme was memories. I remembered it, cleaned it up a bit and present it to you, I hope you enjoy

Well hello everyone, yes I'm still alive^^

Since the last time I was here a new fandom obsession has taken over my life (yes it is Teen Wolf, I'm nothing if not a follower of trend) though most of my fannish musings are going on on tumblr right now (second verse, same as the first)

I signed up for tw_holidays though, so there will be new fic in the far, far future.

ravelqueen: (bang saiyuki)
A thought just came to me, I have never understood how or why people who are homophobic refer to gay guys as "cocksucker" and intend it as an insult.

I mean presumably that's what your girlfriends/wifes etc. do for you as well? I mean, blow-jobs aren't something exclusive to homosexual relations, right? And seeing as most people like/love their significant others, why would you want them to do it, if you think it's so demeaning and dirty and wrong.

Just boggles the mind. Basically this is another proof that a lot of the time people who are homophobic also have latent misogynistic tendencies. Why else would they think that looking/acting/dressing in a way they perceive to be typically "feminine" should be considered an insult? Or sexual acts sometimes performed by women (giving blow jobs, being penetrated etc.) as demeaning?

Wow Glee

Just wow. Way to drop the fucking ball.

(I may be back to write up my feelings, but I'm literally just too angry right now to be fair to the other characters, just fuck you glee, where is my fix-it fanfiction fandom? I want Kurt and Blaine to do nothing but fucking in increasingly creative ways. super vague spoiler side note )
ravelqueen: (Default)
Ok yes, I'm sorry I guess I really need to do a meta as an ETA to my review of last nights episode of glee.

Because I may have made the general mistake of letting myself be distracted by the gays and Blaines shining face and the fact that trans issues where actually treated with respect. And also, because this problem isn't new and I need to say something about it every episode and I kind of accepted it with a heavy heart, like I accept so many things about glee, because it has one of my few canon couples being adorable on screen and also hilarious movies.

But once in a while it is time to put on my big feminist hat and speak about the fact, that while Glee has made excellent episodes and changes for gay people in mass-media and at home. Has tackled quite a few interesting and controversial topics well and made a difference for many people socially, over the boundaries of what a silly little Musical show probably expected. But it has never, never, ever been able to do gender right.

Glee and female representation: an un-love story (slight concept spoiler for 3x16) )
As I said in the beginning, this is not a new problem. If I had to pick a show that does queer presentation right (at least more than others) glee would be in my mind in a heartbeat. But when it comes to female representation it would maybe not be the last one, but definitely way down the list (even Supernatural is better and there every woman dies!)

ravelqueen: (jared laughing)

unpopular opinion time (not really): I really love satire when it’s done well even if it’s done for stuff I really like. I just noticed again, because I just found out about the glee reviews from vulture and I’m laughing my ass off. Not because I necessarily agree with everything they say (though they do have some points, because glee is horribly broken, omg, why can’t my babies be in a better scripted show ;___;), like I am not that harsh and my love for Blaine is endless, but because their satire comes from a place of caring AND more importantly doesn’t discrimante.

I just noticed that that is what good satire is about for me. I worried a bit the past few weeks, because I felt compelled to defend Blaine/Darren from all the hate he gets, that I was choosing to be selectively blind and wouldn’t be able to takeanycriticism against him. Which would suck, because people are totally entitled to find him boring, if they want to. But the difference ingoodsatire, like in what vulture does, is to be fair about it. If the writers make weird choices, make fun of that, if the actors make funny faces, take a piss. But don’t do it to one character if you wont do it to another.

They do it to everyone in a cheeky way and then I can totally crack up about Kurt-wardrobe-ridiculing and Blaine-bashing.

ravelqueen: (bang saiyuki)
God I need to organize my bookmarks...I've kinda been abusing the "memories" function on livejournal, which is fine I guess, but the whole point of having a bookmarking site in the first place, was so I could have an overview AND look at all the stuff I liked by tags...

Actually what I should do is put on some music and organize all of my different stuff together, I mean having diigo and my AO3 bookmarks is fine, but I really need to get a grip on my fanfiction.net favourites and get rid of all the bad links and horrible stuff I liked 6 years ago. AND I finally figured out how to use tumblr, so now a bit of stuff is just liked over there. argh

(actually what I should be doing is writing and learning stuff for uni, but I guess organizing bookmarks will happen before that *le sigh*
